A World in Beige-y Swirls Part 1
A freebie. Soooooo long overdue!

I have a thing about swirls. I love using them in my designs - my web templates, my scraps. It’s just very girly. They make layouts very regal and very artsy without being imposing. That’s why I always have to have some form of it in every art thing I do.

And so since we haven’t given you any freebie for god-knows-since-when, we’re handing out a kit for you in 5 parts! So come and visit us often. Send us your love in our comment box because we love to hear from you and how you’ve used our stuff. Just leave us a comment if you did use them and show us your layout and we’ll post them here. I’m sure you wouldn’t have a problem using the freebie because the colors are versatile and would enhance your photos and layout.

Download it here.

Hooray! Hooray! A scrap!

Sweet Forbidden Paper
First, a scrap. Our friends, Nimfa and Orly, visited us one weekend. With them and their kids were my good, good friends from California who are now working in Thurmont, Brenda and Santi. Brenda drove down with her lovely daughter and funny MIL, while Santi was with his wife, Avi, and their 3 kids. Part of the plan for the weekend was to go to Washington, DC to give Santi’s family a tour of the city. I had been looking forward to seeing them since hubbie and I haven’t seem Nimfa and Orly for awhile plus, he hasn’t met my California friends yet. It was a weekend full of laughter, food, and more laughter. It was truly a welcome event to be with my friends - really made me feel warm inside.

Sweet Forbidden Elements
So while in DC, I had a chance to take some pictures. One of them is a picture of Nimfa’s daughter, Therese. I love this little girl! She was the source of my amusement and entertainment during my short work stint at Thurmont and I was living with Orly and Nimfa. She was very curious, always asking about stuff and she had a very keen interest in my make-up and accessories. She made me feel a little less lonely because Ed and I could only see each other during the weekends. So when I went back to Baltimore because I found another work in Annapolis, I really felt a twinge of sadness because I was going to miss this little girl so much. So when I saw her that weekend, I was sooooooooo happy :)

The LO was created using our Sweet Forbidden kit. So go and grab the kit! You’ll surely enjoy using it for your own sweet little ones :)

I know. It’s already March. But if you’re like me, you’ve probably procrastinated this long (almost) to get your christmas pictures done. (Much less share them with the relatives, ha ha ha).

Christmas KitI’ve been so busy putting up all my websites and getting them going that my digiscrapping had to take a back seat. Since January, I’ve only digiscrapped once and I haven’t even created any give-aways yet. (Altho I’m really aiming on giving you some freebies this weekend, hopefully :) But when I was browsing thru my sisters’ kits at Gotta Pixel, I kinda took a fancy to this beautiful Christmas kit. I know I have just the right Christmas photos to go with it.

The pictures I used were all taken last December 24 during our Christmas Eve midnight dinner with the family. We were all gathered at my MIL’s house opening our gifts before we partook of the food. The first LO is about our DD, Madonna, and our dear niece, Pearl. Pearl was wearing her nice red dress we bought for her and she wore when she attended her dad’s Marriott staff Christmas party. Madonna was donned and was going to meet up with her friends that night. This was a cute picture that I really had to create an LO for it.

The second LO is of our nephew, Gabe, while he was busy opening one of his gifts. This little guy is such a riot! He enjoyed his first gift-giving Christmas when he can open his gifts himself. He’s shown here unwrapping one of the gifts Judy gave him.

So if you want some cute and cool Christmas Kits, run along to GottaPixel and choose anyone of these other page kits for your Christmas photos that are just waiting for you to create a layout for. It’s never too late for Christmas digiscrapping :)

Great Day Page Kit

I had a chance to digiscrap again last night (Sunday). I haven’t visited my sisters’ online digital scrapbook store lately and I was pleasantly surprised to see that my youngest sister, Pia (or Minicake), has been creating a lot of cute elements. My younger sister, Gretch, has also created some new and beautiful page kits. And so I was so inspired to try them out!

I try not to download more than I could use. So I just downloaded Gretch’s newer kit, Great Day, for now and these are what I came up with. I gotta admit that my layouts are not as “intricate” and detailed as my sisters. Theirs are more modern than mine. Maybe it’s because I started with traditional scrapbooking that my LOs still seem to be “clean”. I have to learn to do more “freestyling” technique, like they do.

But I enjoy digiscrapping. Altho unlike before, I don’t want to be dictated anymore by what a designer or a shop wants so I’m sticking with my sister’s designs and just display my LOs wherever I want to. I am seriously thinking of revamping our SFOS site so that my sisters and I can put in more LOs in there.

So I hope you all like these. The first LO is of our mom and dad. I’m really looking forward to seeing them come April. They’ll be coming from Calgary and will be visiting for about a week. I really miss them.

The next LO is my one and only (for now) neice from my sister, Pia. I really miss her so much. I saw her on Pia’s webcam last night while we were chatting. *sigh* I wish the Philippines isn’t that far from here… I really miss my family back home.

We have been sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad!!!

It’s been awhile since we’ve updated the blog and so many things have already happened. We’re so sorry for the absence but we didn’t realize that setting up stores would be a little taxing. Exciting, but taxing. Anyways, we would like to thank everyone who flocked to our store at Gotta Pixel. We’ve had a little snag here and there but nothing we can’t remedy right away. Thank you for your understanding and for your patronage. :)

We’ve been busy creating more wonderful kits for you all also. PLUS…

We’re now selling at DESIGNING-MOMENTS.NET! (YIPPEEE!!!!) In fact, I even created an exclusive for Designing Moments kit called Tropical Dreams. Take a lookie here:

It’s got:
5 plain papers
5 patterned papers
4 big bows
5 straight ribbons
2 frames
1 flower
5 flower buttons
5 heart buttons
2 journalling tags

We’re only selling it for $3.00. Cool, huh??

But also, we’ve got a cool deal for you all! Designing Moments.net sells elements, mini-kits, etc, for just a DOLLAR! Can you imagine that? A dollar for stuff you can use for one or two of your photos. And since this is such a cool idea, we decided to offer a mini-mini-kit for the same price. Here’s what our dollar offer looks like:

AND!!!! If you buy this kit above, I’m giving away the complementary kit below to go with it FOR FREE!

All you have to do is to send us a copy of your Designing Moments invoice for the EXOTICA kit at shesfullofscrap at gmail dot com and I’ll send you our download link to the complementary kit.

Now… wouldn’t that be so exciting???

So c’mon and rush to our store at Designing Moments and let the fun begin!!!!

That’s all I have been saying all this week. All the layouts, all the comments, all the blog entries… WOW.

Seeing all your unique and stunning layouts from our two kits (Two Solitudes and Fall Into My Love), is taking me back to my college days when I used to study about mathematical permutations and combinations. If you try to imagine all the possible ways of mixing elements and papers with all the possible layouts and themes you can make - the total combinations can probably be endless.

It really amazes us how all of you came up with something unique that made your LO different from each other. I’m assigned to put up all your submitted layouts in our gallery and everytime I click on your layout link, it never ceases to surprise me and make me smile from ear to ear. Some of them made me laugh because of the funny themes, some made my heart melt because of the lovely journalling, some made me sigh because of the intimate shots, some made me reminisce of a similar moment or person in my life. And for each one, all I could say was WOW.

I’m still trying to catchup on all the comments I will do for all those who posted ther layouts at the Gotta Pixel gallery. Please be patient with me, ladies. I will get done :) We’re still answering emails for those who want the kit. We’re probably going to do that until Wednesday. So if you think you can still come up with an LO by October 31, send us an email at shesfullofscrap at gmail dot com and I’ll send you a link to the kits.

And for all of you who have already submitted your layouts to us, THANK YOU. As much as we know you enjoyed playing with our two kits, we appreciate and hold dear all of these moments you shared with us. Believe me, we are so touched that you choose to share these intimate photos with us by using our kits. And we hope you’d continue to do so when we open up our other products to all of you on November 1, 2007 at Gotta Pixel.

Yes, you read it right! We are now part of the Gotta Pixel family starting November 1!!! We’re so excited! We would like to thank Brenda Miller and Stacy Carlson for giving us this great chance to be one of their designers. These ladies are sooooooo cool!

We do hope you stop by Gotta Pixel and visit, not just us, but the whole Gotta Pixel store, because, well, something big is happening at the store starting November 1. So mark your calendars! We’re pretty sure, you’ll love this event!

And with that, I have to say again, thank you very much for making last week a very interesting, fun, and action-packed week. I really had a good one with all of you.

Happy week, everyone!!!

I know…I’m a day early (here in my time zone). But I have to make this post because I’m cramming right now. Yes, I’m good at that. hehehehe. We’ll be making our designs available come 1st of November. And we only have 10 days left. Or less? I hate Math! So I’m making this call. Not quite a CT call yet. But sort of a “test drive call”.
Test drive my favorite kit, make a layout using at least 80% and post to Digishoptalk (Praise Game), My Scrapbook Art and another gallery of your choice. You only have today until the end of the month to do it. But if you get to finish earlier and want to “test drive” some more then I have another kit for you. No long term commitments, no forums.
If you’re interested, please post a reply to this thread:
http://digishoptalk.com/boards/showthread.php?t=85402
and send us an email at shesfullofscrap@gmail.com so we could get back to you.

Here’s the kit. Inspired by Level 42. :)

And I have a freebie. But the links have to wait till Wednesday. :)

And don’t forget the blinkie!
